This incredible piece survived the rough and tumble down a river and then in the ocean. Sanding and polishing exposed the beautiful wood inside. I'm trying to get away from the generic 'driftwood on a base. and have the base as part of the sculpture, seeking to enhance the sculpture and be a part of it!

FEATHER. This small piece of driftwood has an interesting shape but otherwise looked like nothing, but when I sanded and sealer the one side it absolutely came to life with the beautifull wood that's revealed from sanding. It is set on an piece of old wine barrel and swivels to encourage people to turn it ands see the contrast between the 'natural' driftwood side and the highly polished side.
